redux

Latin - adj (gods) who brings back;

(men) brought back, returned

    In Latin, redux (from the verb reducere, meaning "to lead back") can mean "brought back" or "bringing back." The Romans used redux as an epithet for the Goddess Fortuna with its "bringing back" meaning; Fortuna Redux was "one who brings another safely home." But it was the "brought back" meaning that made its way into English.

Those of us maintaining Alan Watt’s Cutting Through the Matrix websites will upload “new” old audio from past talks weekly --- redux.  These redux audios may be one complete older talk, or excerpts from various past talks.  Topical news will be included in the links section underneath the audio.  Once again, Alan’s words bringing clarity to “news of the day.”

You will hear Alan introduce the talk with the date of its original broadcast.  If more than one past talk is used, you’ll hear him greet you with that date too.  When Alan signs off, you may hear him say “from Hamish and myself, it’s Goodnight, and May Your God or Your gods Go with You.”  Hamish was Alan’s beloved dog who passed away 15 September, 2016.

You can find the original poem(s) for the talk(s) in his archive as well as the topics and news links as they originally appeared.  We hope you will continue to learn from Alan in these “redux” blurbs (educational talks from the past.)
